Netizens are applauding to SM's quick response.

SNSD, the biggest issue of this summer, released the album cover of upcoming 2nd mini-album on the 22nd, but people criticized the image of aircraft, which resembled Zero-sen. As the criticism grew, SNSD's management company decided to immediately delete the controversial image. On the 23rd, SM Ent said, "We inserted military icons in the album cover, but we are going to delete those because some are misinterpreted from what we have intended", and added "We will delete the image and replace it with T-20 which is developed and produced in Korea".

In response to the step taken by the management company for unintended but controversial issue, most of Netizens viewed it as a "regrettable but a proper decision".

One Netizen said "It's good that they quickly reacted to the criticism before the comeback. If they ignored this issue and only gave excuses, the situation would have gotten worse". Another said, "deleting the pic will be better for SNSD".

Meanwhile, SNSD's new single "Tell me your wish" topped various charts in just one day after its release, and is about to extend "Gee" syndrome.

SNSD's 2nd mini album title song "Tell me your wish" was released through various mp3 sites on the 22nd. Shortly after the release, the song topped real time charts, and after a short while, it reached #1 in daily charts. After the day from its initial release, the ranking is shooting up even higher. Entering Melon chart as #6 surprised many people who work in music industry. Considering that "Gee" entered the chart as #10, the new song is getting a lot of popularity. The song reached #1~2 in almost every mp3 charts foreshadowing another SNSD syndrome.

I'm just glad all this happened before the album was actually released, I wonder how they'd replace that image then rofl. Them topping charts is just amazing by itself. Guys, this is NOT antis act. Well, yes some stupid antis are making use of this issue to blame girls, but basically this was absolutely dumb designer's fault. Not a "small" mistake. It's really a serious mistake.
I know whoever designed the cover woudn't intend anything. Everyone knows it. But that doesn't matter.
Imagine that you find a NAZI symbol(卐) somewhere in the album cover of a Jewish band. Intendedly put or not, it absolutely gotta removed, right?
Japanese "kamikaze plane" in WWII means as big to koreans. Most of fans here do agree too that the plane must be removed or replaced.

SM's decision is totally right and inevitable. I hope they won't do such a big mistake next time.

And don't worry people, it's just only few antis that blame snsd girls for this. We knew they would! lol
Most ppl are just blaming designer's carelessness. Now that SM's gonna change it, everything's gonna be fine.

I don't even understand why people are raising so much disappointment about the release date being delayed ever slow slightly.

And my guess is that many do not fully appreciate the significance of the matter at hand. The Zero-sen was Japan's flagship fighter craft during WWII. Without going into a drawn out history lesson, WWII is a highly controversial topic when it comes to Korea and Japan, and also China and Japan for that matter.

I think it makes a lot of sense that they decided to correct for this.

yayyy for SM's quick response! It's good that SM entertainment immediately owned up to this and quickly decided to change the album cover. I completely understand what these netizens feel since WWII is a very sensitive topic until now. For the antis however finally those people can keep quiet and let us fans enjoy the music.
