This is an short article about SNSD in a German youth magazine for girls, titled "Mädchen" (which means girl(s) in English). The magazine has a paid circulation of approx. 150.000 issues. The article tells no new info, just basic information for people who don't know them.

Girls’ Generation
Who they are: The K-pop band ("Korean Pop") is made up of nine members and was found in 2007. Bandleader is Taeyeon (21).
What makes the difference: With their look the group is considered to be a role model for many girls in Asia - the tickets for the first concert of their tour were sold out within three minutes.
For fans of: dance-pop, Asia-style
Mädchen résumé: Even if the sound is not really yours - it's cool to know them to impress friends.
Image capture: The nine girls are real stars in Asia. Current single: "Hoot".

I hope I translated everything correctly...
I think this is from the second last issue of 2010 (Nr. 25/2010) but I'm not 100% sure since I just copied the scan shared on facebook...

Cool! One step closer to world domination!
We need more articles like these to recruit more SONEs!
It will be so awesome to have German SONEs, cheering in German!
That'll sound wicked! But I'm sure there are quite a few German fans out there.
I know German people think of Koreans fondly because of
soccor athlete Cha Bum Gun and Cha Doo Ri
and Germany used to share the same pain that Korea has:
The divided nation...
So, dear Germany, share some love for SNSD!!!!

J2Y3S2TH is right! This is one step closer to World Domination! Woot!
Role model for Asia!! Haha they're not Asia's #1 Girl-group for nothing! =3
I love how they included their concert being sold-out in 3-minutes. I'm sure the girls/teens who will read it will be more curious about SNSD. ^^

WORLD TOUR here we come!!!

That's pretty cool. People in France and Germany will heart, even if it's just a little, about them. Seems like Sm will have help to promote the girls in Europe?

Thanks for the translation.

Woow, I'm from Germany and I'm really proud to see them in one of our magazines.
(Now they are the 2nd kpop group featured in a german magazine as far as I know)
Hope a Europe tour could happen in future.^^
K-Pop really is conquering the world.

That was bold.

Thank you for translating. I'm really getting excited about not just SNSD but the whole KPop industry getting close to world domination. Is it just me, or this clicks better than any other music? Just sayin'. I'm not a Korean myself, but one can't deny the fact that they are really getting GLOBAL :)

Thats really cool news! On a Dutch social network site, Hyves, a lot of Dutch SONEs showed support to SNSD and some even sent a audition to SMe (:

oh wow...I'm german but I didn't saw that article...but fine, I've never read Mädchen xD since it's more...for teenagers and younger and of course I'm simply not interested.
The translation is good, even though it says "Frontfrau" and it doesn't mean Bandleader directly, but it could be interpreted like that..

SNSD Fighting!

you just need to search properly. There are a loot of magazines that show interest. Just not so much that show interest in kpop. They are more for japanese music, I believe. I know a few myself, but since I'm not reading magazines I just know that japanese music is mentioned frequently.

the "they're" should be changed to "their" in the "what makes the difference" part.

but other than that it is a pretty good translation (actually i like it better than the magazins one, since obviously you know more about soshi than they do ;) )
