Following KARA’s Kang Jiyoung, Girls’ Generation’s Sunny and Hyoyeon will be joining the cast of KBS2’s “Invincible Youth 2”.
On October 18th, according to a source, with the “Invincible Youth 2” line-up coming to its final stages, Sunny and Hyoyeon have been confirmed to join the cast alongside KARA’s Kang Jiyoung.
They revealed, “We will begin filiming on October 26th. For a dramatic opening, the member line-up was decided in secrecy, but because word spreads so quickly, primary members have been revealed through rumors already.”
While many girl groups gathered for the G7 member auditions, only two will get the opportunity to join (Editor’s note: It seems that they were referring to only have two rookie girl group members). It was informed the remaining five members will be ones that have a certain degree of recognition and popularity.
Back when the second season was decided on, Kim Hosang CP stated, “We probably won’t stray too far from the layout of season one, but we are planning on showing a new farm variety show. While Yuchiri, Kangwondo was the background for the previous season, season two will be set in a new location. All the members will also be replaced.” (Editor’s note: Obviously not all the members have been replaced, since Sunny is returning)

oh man, I dont know if I should feel happy that a new show with SNSD in it is coming or its going to be a pain in the butt for the subbers again with all that extra loadwork on their shoulders. And also for the girls directly, Im happy that they were chosen again to participate as part of G7 but it also makes me immediately think of them being overworked.
yesss!! i’ve been wanting to watch this show again. finally, season 2! i guess they couldn’t leave without sunny. this show wouldn’t be the same without a soshi. since their are the biggest girl group, it’s just fair to have at least 2 member on the cast. i hope shinyoung is still present, but i guess kim taewoo is not since he only joined the show when he heard that yuri was a cast.
so happy that hyoyeon is casted..can’t wait to see the first episode.
Okay first off, WOOTS! At last I get to see Amber become a permanent cast on variety shows :D I’m sure she won’t disappoint! :)
And second, Sunny’s back and better than ever! I think she’s gonna be like taking over Shinyoung’s presence as she will not be there. But rest assured, Boom will create a loveline, and I’m pretty sure we all know who it will be with :)
I’m seriously hyped up about this :D I just hope the PD would continue the direction he went with the previous G7 because it was the reason why I first watched the show :)

Perfect. I was hoping for something like this. Hyoyeon needed to be cast as a permanent member of a variety show, I think she will do great. And Sunny and Shinyoung were pretty much the core of the other show. We can expect more Sunshiners to come from watching Sunny in action. I really hope Shinyoung will come back too.

The cast looks good. I was actually hoping Sunhwa would return to be a “veteran” member, but still be white paper, ha. We can for sure look forward to having 10+ guest spots from the original cast or the possibility of having an episode or two of G7 VS G8 in some form.
I’m sad Yuri wont be on, but SUNNY YES OMG!!! I can see Hyoyeon fitting right in as well.

Words cannot describe the level of anticipation and happiness that this piece of news brings to me, Hyoyeon is absolutaly hilarious and Sunny was just a perfect cast member in S1. Hopefully Shinyoung is back.

Yes, perfect! There’s no way they could have done a new season of Invincible Youth without a Soshi member. It’s only beneficial to have Sunny back on, and I’m really glad to see some love for Hyoyeon too. Sunny + Hyoyeon is going to be gold. Also nice to see a Kara member coming into the mix, hopefully Hara will teach Jiyoung well ^^. The two rookie groups participating thing will be interesting too. Seemed to work out alright for Sunhwa and Hyomin after a little while. Here’s to hoping Shinyoung/Taewoo and maybe even Village Chief Noh will be back as MCs or participating in some way.
