Seohyun recently completed a photo shoot for Vogue Girl Magazine, and a video was released this week showing off some of the behind the scenes action.  Seohyun has a luxurious and mature look with a theme of “Stealing Beauty”.  In this shoot, one look from Seohyun is enough to steal anyone’s heart.

Kwangdong Pharmacy released a short video this week featuring Jessica.  She is known as the Ice Princess, but she sure doesn’t show that side in this cute clip!  Jessica wants to know, what are your nicknames?

Jessica and Krystal Jung Rank 2nd for Best Genes

ArirangTV Pops in Seoul ranked the top 5 singers with best genes, and the Jung sisters, Jessica and Krystal, came in at 2nd place.  Jessica is a superstar and a very talented singer, and her younger sister Krystal is also a big star in f(x).  That family definitely has a lot of talent in their genes!

Tiffany Performs With Super Junior on Sketchbook

Super Junior was a guest on the October 1st episdoe of Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook, and Tiffany joined them for a special stage.  It’s the return of Rapper Hwang as she performed “Oops” with the boys of Super Junior.  Speaking of boys, she seemed to be hinting at Girls’ Generation’s next album, “The Boys”,  when she says, “It’s time we bring the boys out”.  As she says it, she gives a little eyebrow lift with a mischievous smile as if she is talking to SONEs.  What do you think, coincidence or Tiffany getting SONEs all hyped up?

Jessica Talks About Goo Hara’s Driving

Jessica made a short guest appearance on the KBS2 show “Secret” for Kara’s Goo Hara.  Jessica divulges a secret that Hara can’t park!  Hara gets a good laugh from her unnie revealing her lack of driving skills, and Jessica says “Hara quickly learn to park!”

Jessica had a very memorable photo shoot for CeCi magazine’s October issue.  A behind the scenes video was released showing off Jessica’s charm on the set of the shoot.  She effortlessly transitions from laughing with the crew into a serious model when the cameras start flashing.  Jessica is turning into quite the professional model!

Seohyun Ranks 1st for Singer Who Would Gain the Love of Their Boss

In an episode of “FunFun Ranking Show” on ETN, there was a ranking for singers who would gain all the love of their boss, and Seohyun came in at first place.  Seohyun naturally fits this ranking well.  She is intelligent, very well spoken, and is seen as a model student.  As we all know, she is constantly reading and trying to improve herself as a person and a performer.  These are all traits that any boss would love to see.  No wonder she came in first!

October Wallpapers From Kwangdong Pharmacy

Fall is upon us, and Kwangdong Pharmacy has shared some wallpapers to usher in the new season.  The first wallpaper features Sooyoung  as a student and looking cute in a cheerleader’s uniform.  The message reads, “It’s October already, and it’s become a great fall.  Have nothing but good things happen ^^”.  What better way to keep track of the days than to have Sooyoung helping you?  Next, we have all nine girls in front of a chalk board with various messages on it, such as “Soshi jjang!” and “Vitamin Song is really good ><“.

An Encouraging Message From Kwangdong Pharmacy with Yoona’s Picture

Kwangdong Pharmacy surpassed 10,000 followers on twitter this week, and expressed their thanks for all the support with a picture of Yoona and a message.  “Today there was a lot of trouble. Have a relaxing evening ^0^”.  @Kwangdongpharm shares plenty of pictures of the girls every week, so we are always thankful for their support for Girls’ Generation.

Girls’ Generation and Woongjin Coway Hold Charity Auction

As we reported last week, Girls’ Generation held an auction event with Woongjin Coway this week where they presented the items they will be auctioning off for charity.  The girls had various items from their ad campaign with Coway.  Among other things, the most memorable items included Sunny’s autographed frying pan, Taeyeon’s big paint roller, and Yoona’s signed bucket.  The event was a big hit with lots of fans and press in attendance.  Be sure to check out the Soshified Photo Section for more photos of the event.

Girls’ Generation to Perform at 2011 Asia Song Festival

Girls’ Generation will be making an appearance at the 2011 Asia Song Festival, which will be held on October 15th at Daegu Stadium.  In addition to Girls’ Generation, other acts who will be performing include Super Junior, Lee Seunggi, and artists from Japan, Taiwan, China, and Thailand.

Teddy Riley Praises Girls’ Generation

Teddy Riley, a renowned music producer, has been working with Girls’ Generation on their upcoming album and title track.  Through his twitter account, he has been praising the girls and giving words of encouragement, “They remind me of my daughter so much. Especially Sunny. They have such great spirits and very professional. I hope to work with them again. GO G.G.!!!!”  He is very supportive of the girls, even responding to fans who message him, saying, “It was so amazing and professional” working with the girls, and “They all have very unique voices”.  It sounds like Girls’ Generation has left quite an impression on Mr. Riley.

Yoona Films Scenes for Her Upcoming Drama “Love Rain”

Yoona has been cast for a new drama called “Love Rain”, and this week official photos from the filming were released.  Yoona traveled to Daegu to film scenes on location for the drama.  The return of Im Actress is hotly anticipated by fans of all ages.

First Japan Album Sells 600,000 Copies

In 17 weeks since its release, Girls’ Generation’s First Japan Album has sold over 600,000 copies.  The girls took Japan by storm this year with their sold out Arena Tour and double platinum selling album.  Even months after release, their album continues to sell well.

Seohyun Donates Items for Park Seung Il’s ALS Charity

Last week, Sooyoung donated her Nintendo DSi for a charity auction to help former basketball coach Park Seung Il’s efforts for an ALS care center.  This week, Seohyun joins the cause by donating items of her own for auction.  The girls have a tremendous amount of love for Coach Park, and their efforts will surely be a big help for the ALS care center.

Girls’ Generation to Attend Concert on October 8th

Girls’ Generation has a busy schedule in October.  In addition to their comeback and various other schedules, the girls will perform at the Big Concert for GTB Gangwon Civil Defense’s 10th Anniversary on October 8th at Chuncheon stadium. The MCs will be Kim Sungjoo and Heo Hyerim.  The girls join other artists such as IU, Infinite, U-Kiss, 5dolls, and more.

Taeyeon Receives a Message from Lincoln

A few weeks ago, Taeyeon was replying to UFOs and mentioned a little boy named Lincoln.  That boy shared a picture this week with a message for Taeyeon.  His message reads, “Girls’ Generation jjang!!  Taeyeon noona I love you ♥”.  Taeyeon will surely be touched by this adorable picture!

Super Junior’s Heechul Thanks Girls’ Generation Members For Their Support

Heechul recently entered the military, and he did an interview detailing his new life.  During the interview he talked about how fans send him letters, and he mentioned that Sunny, Seohyun and Taeyeon sent him letters and pictures to cheer him on, “Sunny and Seohyun from Girls’ Generation wrote me letters. I’m sure they are busy with working…So, I want to tell them thanks so much! Taeyeon from Girls’ Generation sent me signatured photos of her with comments. Thanks a lot!”  SM is definitely a family, and it’s great to see the artists care for each other.

All About Girls’ Generation App for iPad

A new app for the iPad was released this week that features photos taken from Girls’ Generation’s Paradise in Phuket.  The app is a digital photobook with over 80 pictures of the girls, and is the first volume of three that will be released.  It costs $3.99 and can be purchased on iTunes.  If you have an iPad, you must get this app.  The pictures are stunning!

Yoona Ranks 1st for Idol Who Would Look Best in a Military Uniform

In a recent poll for which idol would look best in a military uniform, Yoona received 162 votes out of 511, edging out After School’s Uee’s 132 votes for first place.  Yoona’s military fashion from Genie was surely a factor in her victory, especially considering a fan bought her outfit from the Genie music video for ~$6200 at a charity auction.

CeCi Magazine’s app for iPad got an update this week to include Jessica’s glamorous October photo shoot.  The app is free, so if you have an iPad head over to iTunes and grab it.  Jessica’s pictures from this shoot are not to be missed!

Girls’ Generation’s popularity is soaring lately with their impending comeback.  The girls are gracing the cover of the October issue of AstaTV magazine.  As if being cover girls isn’t enough, there are 60 pages of Soshi goodness in the magazine!

Yuri and Sooyoung Appear in Saudi Arabian Newspapers

Yuri and Sooyoung were mentioned in Saudi Arabian newspapers, “Alhayat” and “Alkhalej”.  The girls’ influence is being felt in all areas of the world now, and it seems K-Pop is quite popular in Saudi Arabia.  Sooyoung’s caption states, “South Korean Sooyoung from ‘Girls Generation’ attended a conference in Seoul today 28 September 2011.”  Yuri’s caption: ” The South Korean singer Yuri from ‘Girls’ Generation’ speaks to the audience in a conference and announced with her members that the new album ‘The Boys’ well be out next month.”

Girls’ Generation Performs in Busan for a Halftime Show

The girls donned their “Oh” uniforms to cheer on the home team in Busan this week.  They appeared at the Gudeok Stadium for the Hyundai Oil Bank K-League 2011 Round 27 game between Busan’s IPark and Kyungnam FC.  The press called them “National Treasure Girl Group” and praised their halftime performance.  Any team that gets Girls’ Generation’s cheers are sure to go far!

SONE Picture/Video of the Week

Girls’ Generation’s 3rd album “The Boys” is almost upon us, and SONEs around the world are all getting very excited.  SONEs from Mexico got together to create an awesome compilation of pictures from fans cheering for the girls and their comeback.  Throughout the video there are so many awesome pictures of fans giving cheerful messages with the theme of “Mexico Loves Girls’ Generation”.  At the end, they leave a message in Korean for the girls that says, “Thank you!  Mexico loves Girls’ Generation forever ♥  Girls’ Generation came back!”  Awesome job, Mexico SONEs!
