After topping the charts and music shows in Korea, Girls’ Generation has been nominated for three categories in the upcoming 26th Golden Disk Awards (also known as the Korean Grammy Awards), which will be on January 11th–12th, 2012 and will be held at Kyocera Osaka Dome in Osaka, Japan.
Girls’ Generation has been nominated in the Album Award, Digital Album Award and Most Popular Artist Award categories. There are 25 nominees under the Album and Digital Album Award while for the Most Popular Artist Award, there are 35 nominees.
In addition to that, the Album Award winner be announced on the first day of the event and the Digital Album Award will be announced on the second day. Also, Girls’ Generation will be performing on the second day of the event.

Ah heck yes! our angels are nominated for 3 awards, this is beyond..beyond…oh heck it’s out of this world, man. I’m proud and happy and feel honored for these beautiful angels, I’m sure they are incredibly happy too. OMG they’ll be back about 2 to 3 times in Japan after their SMTOWN Tokyo special in so long. Btw I love love love the picture there, my goodness they are gorgoeous. Anyway I hope they take all 3 awards those night(s) since they’ll be performing on the 2nd night of the ceremony. J-S♥NEs are going to be thrill to have the angels back in Japan for the ceremony. I’m sure it’s going to be a very special ceremony for them both. Also I can’t wait to see the Nov. sales report for The Boys on the GOAN chart, that’s what I’m most anticipating. I want to read that the album sold over 500k+ copies like their 1st Japan album did. I’m so obsessed with how many copies sold on charts only when it comes to our girls >.<. Good luck Soshi angels and I'm sure KS♥NEs are working extremely hard to get you those awards.
