Girls’ Generation will be releasing a second version of their third album, entitled “Mr. Taxi”, on December 8th, 2011. The album will contain thirteen tracks with the addition of the English version of “The Boys”. The “Mr. Taxi” track will be moved to the first track, and the Korean version of “The Boys” track moved to the second.
During their promotions for “The Boys” earlier this year, Girls’ Generation also performed “Mr. Taxi” wearing outfits reminiscent of police officers. With the unveiling of the album cover, fans were excited to see that the group chose similar outfits for the concept of the second version of their album. In addition, while the concept for “The Boys” consisted of a unique outfit for each member, “Mr. Taxi” features a return to identical outfits.
Twitter users quickly reacted to news of the upcoming album release and to the revealing of the album cover, as “Mr. Taxi” trended worldwide at number four.

to be honest I dnt like that they are promoting this again..I know its in korean now but they should have showed us something new but I will still support then and they look really good in pictures
Haha, if people were to say it as this being a ‘The Boys’ Version B, in literal sense, yes it’s right. but does this taxi outfit fit with the theme of ‘to bring the boys out’?

Or is it just version B then a version C will be release later as a proper repackaged album with new songs?
Something like Mr Simple? but at least their version B got Superman as a new single.

I have a question, it’s not really clear if they are going to promote an english version or just the korean version of mr.taxi.. they just added the english version of the boys, they did not say they added an english version of mr.taxi. look at it carefully guys, or will they omit the korean version of mr.taxi and put the english version. please explain the details clearer.. thanks!! soshi jjang!! and it will be much better if they make a new video for mr.taxi, i really love that song..

This confused me a bit. The Boys (English version) is a track on the iTunes download. I didn’t realize it wasn’t on the disc until now. I guess if I bought the A Version disc when I already had the songs from iTunes, I might as well buy the B Version disc now. Christmas present to me!
Anyway, it’s an exciting time to be a Sone, with the girls doing so many shows, and my favorite Sunny being on IY2. (My wife has that same goofy winter hat she wore in Episode 3 — too funny.) And many, many thanks to Soshified again for bringing the whole experience to the English-speaking world!

I always loved the Mr. Taxi theme. And yes sones… this is NOT a repackaged album since there is no new songs on it. Just a version B like when Super Junior released Mr. Simple. But I’ll buy it since I’m a collector. hehe. What I really want to know is when the damn US Maxi Single is coming out???!!!

There’s nothing new in this repackaged album. They only added the English version of The Boys to the list. And that’s it.

The cover is just… beyond hot. I just had to make the picture my current desktop background. The girls look absolutely GORGEOUS! I think I’m gonna buy this version. I know this is a silly question (still a relatively new fan) but do they usually include photo cards for versions besides the very first one?
Do you feel it’s acceptable selling a repackaged album with not a single new song on it? The RDR repackaging was good because we got RDR but the only thing they’ve done now is placed the 12th song 1st instead.
There’s no way i’m gonna buy an album with the same tracks just in a different order. Just give us 1-3 new tracks or something. Even though it may hurt SNSD I don’t wanna reward SM because they shouldn’t be encouraged to be this lazy when it comes to selling repackaged albums.
I somewhat agree with you. I wasn’t planning on buying this version but despite how shallow it sounds, I might consider to do so now that I’ve seen the cover and if they include a nifty poster and photo card. I have to say though that I’m disappointed with the fact that the English version of “The Boys” is the only “new” track but, oh well….
it’s so WOW …. can’t wait the second version, it looks like the album gonna have a different visual approach. but look at to our Girls, they’re so Gorgeous okay i’m gonna say beyond word of gorgeous, they flawless.
