Girls’ Generation’s Jessica is making headlines with her acting skills in the weekly drama “Wild Romance”.
Jessica plays the role of Kang Jonghee, the unforgettable ex-girlfriend of Park Moo Yeol, who is played by Lee Dongwook.
On the tenth episode of the drama, Jonghee was revealed to have a serious case of bipolar disorder, which caused her to leave Park Moo Yeol in the past. While they were able to rekindle their relationship, disaster struck as Moo Yeol’s stalker began attacking Jonghee. Upon witnessing a terrible event, Jonghee began to have a seizure. Despite Moo Yeol’s efforts to calm Jonghee down, her condition continued to deteriorate from simple shivers to not being able to breathe. She even attempted to physically harm herself, which greatly upset Moo Yeol.
In earlier episodes, Jessica’s acting had become a hot topic among viewers for her romantic kiss scene with Lee Dongwook. However, the latest episode allowed Jessica to show off her impressive acting skills by portraying a darker side to her character. Many viewers were enthralled with Jessica’s acting, saying that, “Jessica’s acting proves she worked hard,” and, “I felt bad for Jonghee who is suffering from bipolar disorder.”

Christ I’m missing out on Actress Jung impressive work then. Aish I need to get my butt in gear and start looking for her episodes on youtube. Jung Jessica you are amazing and you’re making a lot of S♥NEs very proud of you. SNSD always hard dedicating workers and passionate of their crafts, keep up the good work ladies. Congrats Sica!!! :D
When I saw the vids with her parts I was really impressed, she was really convincing and portraying a bi-polar is not an easy task.
Acting is also a good way to vent and unwind from your day-to-day stress.
And although it makes me really jealous, she kissed a hot guy so, that also should be a good change of pace.
Good job Jessica!! We’re all so proud of you. Your work has paid off so much!! I can’t wait to watch more episodes!!
Good job Jessica!! We’re all so proud of you. Your work has paid off so much <3
Good job Jessica!! We’re all so proud of you :)) <3
GOOD JOB SICA
Being an international SONE is hard since it usually means that I am sleeping during the streams so i have yet to see much of this. Of course I am also waiting for subs(not to rush the subbers. I know the numbers are down and you guys are working hard in RL and for this so I am content in waiting because when a release IS made it just makes my day!)
Anyway! I’m glad Sica is getting good reviews. I was a little worried since she often has that blank expression that that might be her biggest weakness but it seems that she is way better than i gave her credit for. Sorry Gorjessers! I now know my mistake!
I’m a Sica fan, but I’ll be objective about her acting skills in this episode. She has potential and she can improve. The seizure scene was too much for her acting ability to portray. We can’t expect a Sean Penn in I ám Sam kind of performance from Sica. Well, not yet, in the near future. Its her first acting project, but we all saw how she tried her best. Even Senior actors have trouble playing a character with special cases (Like Kang Jonghee’s character).
And like what Tiffany said “No one can beat the person, who tried the hardest!”
I still believe in Sica!
Sica Fighting!
i’m happy for Jessica and i think she’s done well. but a little part of me can’t help but feeling envy with the guy she’s acting with. Dong wook you lucky guy you get to kiss SNSD Jessica… ahh i’m so jealous >_<
WHAT….Jessica had a bipolar personalities in Wild Romance
No wonder she left Muyeol and now her illness shown out because of all those death threat from his fan
Jessica’s acting skill had improve a lot…proud of her^^
I haven’t seen the newer episodes but what I’ve seen with her in it I thought that she did a really good job. I really would love to see her in another drama.
jessica’s acting in this kdrama is really impressive. one, the role seemed like it was almost patterned from her persona instead of the other way around. acting like an obnoxious but frail princess screams jessica in every way. two, she already had the musical experience which i believe takes more exaggerated acting compared to filming. third, she’s got a good set of co-actors in the drama which makes it easier for her to act as natural as possible. good job jessica!
Actress Jung rocks!
Wow her acting, just simply wow. Never thought her first acting will be as awesome as this.
Just imagine what would her acting be like in the future.
Really anticipating it and hope that her acting career will be as daebak as her singing career with SoShi.
her acting really looks natural!
she really managed to pull it off!
being in a musical really helps a lot!
there are so many ways to vent emotions,
and seeing as our girls are so restricted
in what they are allowed and not allowed
to do due to their status as idols (ridiculous
in my opinion), they have to take advantage
of every oppurtunity they have to express
these pent up emotions in any way. think
about it…the girls are not allowed to date
publically (ridiculous), so jessica gets to at
least simulate one through her acting. and
sometimes the girls get stressed out and
probably want to go crazy, but they can’t,
at least publically. here jessica got to go
super crazy. i am willing to bet she found
this scene a lot of fun. LOL! so this is, no
doubt, a tribute to her amazing acting skills,
but i think it is incredible acting inspired by
unique circumstances that allow her to
flourish here.
expected from jessica! such great acting
How could anyone not be ah-mazed? Actress Jung took my breath away [hopefully, I’ll get it back-LOL] and she performed above and beyond my expectations. Which is really amazing, because my expectations were high!
At first I thought it was probably only us Sones who were impressed, simply because we love soshi. But checking out all the good comments everywhere, it’s pretty obvious: Actress Jung is just that Breathtakingly Awesome!
So here’s to Actress Jung!
She’ll make a believer out of you~
GOOO SICCAAAA!!!!!!
Her acting was real good:) Tho the kiss scenes looked a little too real for my crazy fanboy eyes xD Jessica Hwaiting!
wow i KNEW she wouldnt disappoint!!!!!!!!!!11 wowz haha so happy for her. is there like korean oscars she can be nominated for? XDDDDDDD haha always supporting sica and the rest of the girls in their activities…i think its great shes showing a completely diff side of herself to her fans!
I haven’t watched this drama yet except from some clips here and there but I heard the latest episode was where things hotted up!
I’m glad Jessica is being taken seriously as an actress! I will watch it some day myself but for now I’ll support her regardless :D
bipolar disease? and here i thought, she had a split personality. keke.
anyway, since i don’t study med, i don’t know what bipolar is exactly? severe mood swings, huh?
ooh.. i dled the ep in the vid download section already, but my office pc can’t open the file. ish.
from the reviews, i’m excited to see impressive acting by Jessica.
can’t wait.
I like jess’s acting!But I hate This drama,PD…,really hate!
Looking forward to episode 11 to which how worse her disease has gotten and how it will affect her relationship with Park MuYeol.
To sum up, Jessica is probably one of the most well-rounded artist in the KPop industry. Singing, dancing, modeling, acting and MC-ing, there is none that she can’t nail it.
Yeah!!!! Jessi proved that she really has some guts in acting…
Hwaiting Jessi-unnie!!! I believe in you!!!!
congrats in your awesome acting hope to it more ^__^
Go jessica!!!!
Finally we get to see some serious acting from Jessica. HWAITING~ =)
