Yoona recently made an appearance on KBS 2TV’s “Entertainment Relay Guerrilla Date”, aired on April 7th, and noted to the interviewer that it had been a while since the last time she had a Guerrilla Date. Throughout the date, a sea of fans followed Yoona around, and one was even lucky enough to earn a hug from her.
During the personal interview segment, Yoona had a bit of “Yes or No” questions, and she honestly answered all of the questions thrown at her. The interviewer said that the fans have mentally checked out lately because of the many kissing scenes involving the members of Girls’ Generation, and Yoona responded by saying, “Out of all of us… I only received a peck on my cheek,” and when the interviewer asked if she was implying it was weak, she said, “Yes, a bit. I was surprised when I saw Yuri unnie’s… Sica unnie’s, too. I was shocked.” Yoona also hinted that she will soon have another kissing scene, “Reading the script, it seems soon I will also…”
The interviewer also asked Yoona on whether she ever practiced any talents by herself, and Yoona replied with a yes. The interviewer then asked, “What was it? We’ve seen the rockfish.” Embarrassed by her own imitation of a fish, Yoona retorted, “It’s halibut. Why are you bringing up such an old story, it’s embarrassing.” She was asked to perform it again one last time and replied, “I’ve lost my touch.” The interviewer suggested that they watch the clip one more time, and Yoona said knowingly, “You’re going to watch it even if I say no. You can watch it.”
When asked about being the center of Girls’ Generation, Yoona answered that, while she doesn’t want to share her place as the center, she isn’t attached to it since everyone already knows all the members. Yoona highlighted that lately she likes being called a “lady”, and she also answered a question regarding her future marriage plans, stating that she wanted to get married either before or when she reaches 32 years old.

Chaos consumed the streets of Insadong, a neighborhood in Seoul, as a sea of fans surrounded Girls’ Generation’s Yoona, who was hard at work filming for KBS 2TV’s “Entertainment Relay Guerrilla Date”. On the show, Yoona showcased her charms by giving witty responses to questions from the show’s host.
When asked a sensitive question about the viewer ratings for the first few episodes of “Love Rain”, Yoona answered honestly and revealed, “It would be a lie if I said I wasn’t concerned.” However, Yoona also showed her endless love for the drama by saying, “The actors and staff both have trust and love for the drama, so it will do well.”
In addition, she also gave a hint about her future kiss scene in “Love Rain” with co-star Jang Geunsuk, saying that her kiss scene was the weakest compared to the scenes of her group members Jessica and Yuri in “Wild Romance” and “Fashion King”. Yoona then added, “Jang Geunsuk is very lucky with all his female counterparts [in dramas],” causing the audience to laugh.
Finally, Yoona spoke about the change in her ideal types of men, future plans for marriage, and the relationship between the members of Girls’ Generation, showing her unique sense of appeal.
Yoona’s appearance on KBS 2TV’s “Entertainment Relay Guerrilla Date” will be aired tonight, April 7th, at 9:15PM KST.

Aw, haha. Wish I was that one lucky fan c:
It’s only natural that she doesn’t want to share her center spot. It’s something she’s been keeping since debut and it’ll also be weird for us if it was changed (even though Yoona is getting so much hate). We should just be glad she’s born this beautiful!
Love Rain is such a good drama! Of course, it’s about everyday love lives and stuff but it’s pretty good. The drama DOES deserve high ratings, hehe.
yoona^^ i love you !! <3 <3 <3
Im Yoona! Hwaiting! Saranghae <3
Perhaps she means she didn’t mind being at the centre of Girl Gen but won’t mind if she isn’t.
I don’t intend any thing but I’m just confused with this statement:
“while she doesn’t want to share her place as the center”
Does that mean Yoona-ssi doesn’t want to be replaced or share her spotlight as center to her unnies?
I’m a YoonAddict and I’m just shocked with this statement knowing Yoona who always wants to be even with her unnies.
Perhaps she means she didn’t mind being at the centre but won’t mind if she isn’t. ;-)
Perhaps she means she didn’t mind being at the centre but won’t mind if she isn’t.
When the statement “I don’t want to give up the center position in Girls’ Generation” came up during the ‘Yes or No’ corner of the show, the girl group member raised the ‘Yes’ paddle without a moment’s hesitation.
“Although I don’t want to give it up, I don’t want to insist on it,” said Yoona. “It’s okay because everyone recognizes the members’ individuality.”
She then added with a laugh, “Because I said this, is this going to go out [on the broadcast] as ‘Girls’ Generation’s Yoona Can’t Give Up the Center Position?’”

I guess all SNSD fans and YAs should read all the articles carefully before making comments. I guess she already anticipated that articles are going to be twisted esp. if people just read the title and not the whole article. LOL.

YOONYUL HWAITING! :D
I’m sure the ratings will pick up as the story moves along… :) Yoona Hwaiting! :D
I’m surprised the ratings are not doing well in Korea. I think it’s partly because the first few episodes are concentrated on the 70s story-line and may be moving a little slow and the time period might not appeal to everyone. Although I would have thought it picked up an audience w/ the older crowd and given them a bit of nostalgia to enjoy.
I, on the other hand, really love the 70s scenes, especially in revealing the more innocent time of youth of Korea and how daily life was back then (example, having to pay respects to the national anthem mid-day, the police checking youth attire, etc.). I’m especially impressed by the level of detail w/ not just the costumes, but the sets (the old car, buses, cafe, etc) and I enjoy all the 70s music as well as the singing from the actors.
I think the pace will pick up as the story shifts to current day and gets deeper.
Hey benzgrl! Yeah, I fully agree with you about this whole ratings ordeal. I believe since the pace of the 70’s portion of the story was slower, a lot of the younger audiences simply didn’t get into it. I have also read comments from hardcore drama fans that the first episodes were too sappy and very cliche. But, like you said, the whole point to the 70’s part was to show the innocence of the Korean youth and how life was like back then. I want to add in that the whole point everything seemed so cliche in the first episodes was to follow along the love stories from that generation.
Movies like “Love Story” and “Annie Hall” were iconic and produced many of the ideas shared in today’s romance movies but when you watch them today, you can feel how repetitive the plots were. That was what Love Rain was trying to expose to the audiences and that’s why I’m loving it so much! It sticks close to it’s time and setting. I’m guessing as well that things we begin to pick up once the future characters begin interact, can’t wait!
I hope Love Rain does well. I think the ratings would be higher if Love Rain was not competing with Fashion King which started earlier and has had a better chance to gather more following.
Anywho! I look forward to this!
Yoona ssi – you don’t have to worry about low rating in Korea anymore as it would be completely different story for foreign countries.
Because, here, in Thailand, this drama is like talk of the town and we just love it. Currently we watch from the internet – thanks to those who dedicate their time to sub it; however, I heard from rumor that it will be high possibility that one of national TV program have plan to buy it and air during prime time :D
yoona…it may be concerning that the general public is not
showing your drama the interest that it deserves…but just
know that sone is always behind you…supporting you…so
very, very proud of you…your acting has made tremendous
strides over the years, and regardless of what others may
think, sone is watching your every move with appreciation
and awe…
Ahaha poor Yoona, she’s comparing her onscreen kiss with her unnies. Can’t wait to see this subbed ^^b
