On June 19th, Girls’ Generation’s Sunny appeared as a contestant on KBS 2TV’s “1 vs. 100”, making an attempt at the 50 million won prize money. During the broadcast, Sunny revealed her thoughts of wanting to be active as Girls’ Generation for a long time.
Sunny said, “It’s Girls’ Generation’s fifth anniversary soon,” as she referred to her debut in the nine-member Girls’ Generation in 2007 with their single album “Into the New World”. The show’s MC, announcer Han Seokjun, asked, “How many more years do you think you can promote as Girls’ Generation for?” Sunny replied, “If we maintain our first intentions in our hearts, I think we will be able to be active as Girls’ Generation for ten or more years.”
She added, “It’s most rewarding when I hear that fans gained strength from watching Girls’ Generation. Girls’ Generation will put on more performances to give you strength so you can say those things for a long long time.” Sunny was eliminated during the sixth stage during the episode.

I really do think that will be able to make it to 10 years. There are still so many boundaries and things that they can cross and so many more styles and things that they can do. I think as long as they continue to be innovators they can last a nice long time.

Well, given the short lifespan previous kpop groups in the past, technically SNSD was already going downhill before Gee. It seemed like they were just fading out and have the other groups take over. But…it was Gee, you know what happened to that. We all know that Gee revived their lifespan as a group and now they’re basically the leader of this generation’s Korean Wave.
Anyway, as long as they stay strong and don’t get any problems within the next 10 years, this should be good. Looking forward to this :]

As much as I hope them to continue for long, I’m afraid that it’s going to be harder than it is now.

Hmm.. This is the most thing I concern about. Every time I heard or read about SNSD’s going concern, suddenly, I feel bad. It’s like I lost something. I am not exaggerating but that’s what I feel. Hehe.. I know that they can’t be together forever because they will have their own private life, such as getting married and have children, etc. But at least, I really2 hope they will try their best to stick together as long as possible just like tiffany’s wish.

Now, I know two girls are really2 hoping to be together for a long time. So, I hope they will stick together as long as possible. Btw the meaning of stick together as long as possible is keep promoting as Girls’ Generation. It’s not their daily life because of course they can stick together in their daily life.
The girls’ have been working way too hard to end way too early!!!! So hopefully they do last 10 years or even more……. but when their contract does end sm will probably offer another bcuz SNSD is one of their best groups or if they don’t then the girls’ can go for another company. Either way they are still Girls’ Generation that we will always cherish and love <3!!!
They could always change record companies when their contract ends. That’s what Shinhwa did when their SM Entertainment company contract ended. They’ve been going on for 14 years now.
If Girls’ Generation is serious about this, then they can go on forever. I hope they do. Every member admits they all love making music together the most and they currently don’t want to go their seperate ways.

It’s not a may or might, Girls’ Generation will stay together for more than ten years and that’s a known fact. I know that some girl groups have stayed together for five years and then break up after those five years. But I know that Girls’ Generation will absolutely break that five year trend and remain together for so many years to come. And since the girls are going global, I know that the girls will deliver such amazing hit songs worldwide. Soshi will definitely continue on taking the whole entire world by storm and there won’t be anything or anyone stopping them from global domination. It’s absolutely Soshi’s world and we just live in it.

Joking aside, I just want SNSD to last as long as the girls are happy working ^_^ Girls’ Generation is no longer just a group name, it’s a life movement for SONE and I think that even if the members moved on from the actual group, the fans would stay loyal to them even years and decades after they went to their next careers because of all the joy they’ve given us!
I can’t wait to see them as 9 again when PAPARAZZI’s promotions start~~ It feels like forever!
