Girls’ Generation will be releasing a Japanese single, featuring two new songs, on September 26th. The title of the single has not yet been determined. The regular edition will cost 1,260 yen while the limited first edition, which includes a sticker and a DVD with a music video, will cost 1,890 yen.

“Girls’ Generation Complete Video Collection” will also be released on September 26th in both Blu-Ray and DVD formats, and both formats will come in limited and regular editions. Both the Blu-Ray and DVD limited editions of the video collection will contain an extra disc with a one-hour interview of Girls’ Generation. In both editions, the video collection contains all Korean and Japanese releases by Girls’ Generation. There will also be an English version of “The Boys” and re-edits of “MR. TAXI”, “The Great Escape”, and “Gee” from Girls’ Generation’s First Japan Tour. If you pre-order the video collection, a poster will also be included.

Which website would be better to buy from yesasia or cdjapan? Im looking to buy the limited edition dvd version+ poster. i dont need blu ray. But on both websites its say “dvd region 2” and i live in dvd region 1 does that mean i wont be able to play it? I dont have a tv dvd player i plant to watch on my computer. will it still work? Is the only option blu ray? On yesasia its about 166$ with poster and on cdjapan it says 143$. But on yesasia it says free international shipping and on cdjapan i dont know much about how shipping works and how much its going to cost. I really want a poster too but im scared that if i preorder it wont ship or something… Also will the interview include English subtitles? And what is a smartphone earphone jack? This is alot of money i want to know im not going to waste it. plzz help.
I would definitely recommend getting the Blu-ray, which has significantly better picture and sound quality over a DVD.
The region of DVD drive in a PC can be changer about five times, but then it will be locked on what region it was last played, so you will eventually have to choose either Region 1 or 2.
I bought stuff from CDJapan so I would recommend them, in the ordering process you will find out the postage cost before you commit to buying. I would also have a look at Amazon Japan. Though no prices yet for the Blu-rays and no discount on the Limited Edition DVD, yet.

I recent times many Japanese DVDs and Blu-rays have not had English subtitles, including Girls’ Generation’s First Japan Tour DVD and Blu-ray. I think you will have to wait to find out if the interview includes English Subtitles.

if you have a PS3 then you can play a region 2 dvd on it since it’s made in Japan. :)
you can change the region on your pc for a limited amount of times as the person before me said.
and PLEASE order it from yesasia, they have free shipping. i checked how much shipping would cost for both the limited dvd set and the limited single on cdjapan, and it was 60-80$!!! so it would cost a ton more on cdjapan even though the merch itself is cheaper.
you will definitely get the poster too if you preorder. it’s actually safer to preorder because the chances of getting the poster are much higher.
the interview will most likely not include subtitles..but it’s not been confirmed yet.
about the earphone jack i’m guessing they mean the little thing you put in the headphone entrance thingy on your phone xD if you know what i mean lol it’s to keep it clean and protect it.

Unfortunately “Chocolate love” was a promotional song for LG Cyon’s New Chocolate Phone, and just like Visual Dreams which was a promotional song for Intel i3 i5 & i7 Processors will not be included. I also believe that Twinkle may have been a promotional song for Girl Perfume, just my theory, which may explain its absence.

PLEASE don’t make another single like paparazzi. it wasn’t very good and the beat was painful to hear. snsd are amazing and they really deserve better. the coreo could’ve been better too… i think they need to look oversees into romania and europe than america right now because the dance is being overdone when it comes to music. i think songs like “stereo love” which has hit dance music for over 2 months would be something of an example. paparazzi did not do well in japan and i can suspect why. please give these girls better singles and contain the music videos into one so they get most out of their views. too many random copies of the same videos are not good… example paparazzi and genie. needs to just be ONE music video
I liked Paparazzi, I thought it had a great beat and was a very catchy song. I liked it more than Mr Taxi and Bad Girl, though not as much as Genie. And I thought Paparazzi did quite well in Japan, didn’t it hit the number 1 spot and do quite strong sales in general? I think Album sales are more important.

All I can say is meh? I can’t see SNSD releasing a song like that as a single, it’s too bland sounding. SNSD’s song have more emotion to them than this.
This is just my opinion.
Paparazzi is one of their best songs ALONG with genie. I Just listened to Stereo love and its type of songs that i dislike. How can you dance to this? its a catchy beat but overpowers the singer and quickly irritates ones eardrum. How can you say Paparazzi is worse than this? LOL. SNSD is more than just “club music.” Also having multiple music videos is a way to market and sell a product. They didn’t release a Japanese album, having multiple MV makes people want to buy it more then just a single/mv version. I’m sorry if i sound rude but I’m also just giving my opinion.
How… am I supposed to buy a 152 dollar album AND SM’s Best Album which will probably be just as much!? ……………….. I don’t know if I have the courage to drop 300 dollars on albums x.x

there is a price limit with stuff like this and sment clearly crossed the line here -.- i am so disappointed about the price. usually such overpriced merch is only in western countries!! it’ll be interesting to see if this will sell good or not because i doubt it
Since it is a Japan-licensed release, it is going to be expensive. If this is going to be released in the future as Japan-licensed Korean version, then the price will be cheaper. I know it is expensive, but that’s how it is. I’m starting to see a lot of holes in my pocket and wallet. T-T
