Girls’ Generation’s fourth album, “I Got A Boy”, will also come with a 40-page photobook. Ten versions of the album will be released, nine of which will use a single member’s photo as a cover, and one of which will use a group photo. Each version of the album will include a different photobook.

After making a comeback on January 1st, Girls’ Generation will be releasing its fourth Korean album, “I Got A Boy”, on January 2nd, 2013. “I Got A Boy” will be Girls’ Generation’s first Korean album as a group in over a year, having released “The Boys” in October of 2011.
The album will be released with ten different covers, nine of which will be individual jackets that show a single member of Girls’ Generation and one which will be a group photo. For most retailers, covers will be randomly chosen when the albums are purchased.
“I Got A Boy” is currently available for pre-order. Stay tuned to Soshified for additional details.

URGH… Bleah, this SM… =.= They should just sell {10 covers+ 10 photo-books+ 1 actual CD} as a package all for the price of 1! Haha. But no… SM decided to waste resources(kill trees, encourage global warming and blah blah) and exploit soshiphiles/ SONES. >:(
Yes but if they sell a “package” of $150 each, USD $15 per album..for example..how many ppl can actually afford to buy it?
I wont mind getting the $150 package if one of the ten albums is autographed by one of the 9 girls..
From a fan point of view, its not good as it makes they have to pick which cover to buy, if they have more than one fav member, since not only the cover is different the photos inside are different too.. but from a marketing point of view it “provokes” or “entic” the fans to buy more than one copy of the album and generate more revenue, so its good.
Like me.. being a sucker, has ordered 10 copies.. i only worry the repackaged might have more than one design as well ..then OUCH..

And yes, I certainly share your fears~ Please let there be either 1) no repackage, or 2) a repackage with just 1 version, or a version with 10 interchangeable covers so you only need to buy 1!! lol

i think the suppliers are not confident they can obtain the right amount of covers for certain members from the distributors, so they are all making the covers “Random” so that Covers of some members can be sold, and not left on the shelves..
I believe SM might put some wrapping ard the albums at the CD stores in Korea also, so that the fans buying wont know which cover they got until they tear off the wrapping.. else i think some stores might have a lot of “some members covers” left Unsold while the fans, go and look for their fav members covers in other stores..

well i was hoping that the albums would be somewhat similar so i wouldn’t feel the pressure to buy all 10 versions …. but i guess not! for now i’ll just get the group and yuri’s versions…………… SM you really know how to milk money out of fan’s pockets!!!! they know that heaps of sones will be more than one version >< the albums are absolutely colourful and beautiful though ♥ prettiest i've ever seen i think… and if it's snsd it's worth it :( SNSD FIGHTING!

I don’t really like how they’ve decided to use 10 different photo covers then on top of that there’s 10 different photobooks. I would’ve absolutely loved it to have been just one version with a huge photobook as a normal edition.
Anyway no doubt I’ll be buying at least one of them, but whether or not I decide to buy all 10, and whether or not there will still be 10 versions available by the time I finish saving up for them; is now my issue.

they already announced a few days ago to continue distributing the poster. so there’ll be a poster for this album. ^^
There will be a group group, but i dont think there is going to be 9 individual posters.. unless they do it for the repackaged later.
I definitely can’t wait for the album to come out. I know that us SONES, no matter how we feel, will help make this big comeback the best Soshi comeback ever
I preordered mine from kpoptown.com. Works out cheapest for me including shipping and I can choose cover. There’s also another site called kpopmart.com. If I really like the album, I may end up buying multiple copies later. I will wait for my first copy to arrive first…
I love Korean album pricing, much more reasonable than Japanese albums. I don’t really want any peripherals like posters and box set etc.

No. It’s only a CD unlike the Japanese releases that usually come with a CD+DVD version.
