New partnerships and collections will be revealed in the following weeks, including new designs and other projects. In addition, the headquarters will be moving from Hong Kong to New York City sometime in the next year. At https://tacna.net/shelter-services/ you will get a full-service model to simplify the process of relocating and operating in Mexico.
In regards to this latest development, Jessica commented, “Although the unveiling of ECLARE was sooner than expected, I am proud to be taking BLANC & ECLARE to the next level. I am humbled by the overwhelming support this brand has received and I assure you that we will be diligent as we continually look to evolve and innovate.”

Honestly, out of SNSD I never pegged Jessica to start a fashion brand. I actually thought it would be Tiffany who would make this move. But so far from what i have seen, the products are pretty good. However, she could have had better footing in the fashion world, especially since she wants to break into the American market. I personally think she should have attended more fashion shows (like TTS and CL of 2ne1 have) as they would allow her great exposure into the American market. Not only that but she would get a chance to be acquainted with more designers which would serve as a wonderful marketing tool and possible collaborations, effectively reeling more buyers. For example, CL has been going to a lot of fashion shows and is very good friends with Jeremy Scott, if she were to launch a brand like Jessica she would be pretty successful because not only does she have connections but these people would advertise her company. Considering how she has met the Chanel designers herself people will be more curious as to who she is which would eventually benefit her.
I also worry about how she might have bit off more than she can chew by launching in various countries. If she had remained in SNSD that was fine. Her popularity would have helped her out. However, even so she could have launched in Korea and China (she’s most popular here) to start with and then branch out to different countries such as Japan and America. Owing to the fact that she’s most famous in Asia. I can’t help but feel that she rushed her companies growth, possibly due to her investors demands. I just feel like something is missing which would clue us into why she would launch on such a massive scale. Because no other artist turned designer had done this. And honestly since launching a business is a risk to start with, expanding it rapidly without having proper products out makes me feel scared for her as it makes this whole endeavor riskier
All in all, I just hope Jessica does really well because launching a business is difficult and i’m sure now she’s even more pressured. So all we can do is hope for the best and a possible reunion because SM made a dumb decision when they decided to kick her out.
hehe! she and her team doesn’t waste time to move forward. goodluck Sica and all the best on your journey. hope you become one of the most successful designer brand and can knock heads with the already establish fashion brand juggernauts of the world.
I can’t wait for more items from her line! So far it looks great! Keep fighting Sica!
I am so proud of you, Jessie. Show them that you can do it, you can be success without the help from SM, you built your own dream, you didn’t intend to benefit anything from the name of SNSD but you show them your hard working. It’s about designing anyways, people will love it if it’s beautiful and stylish.
I wanna thank, once again, Soshified for your continuous support to Jessica. I hope to never ever have to come here and find it being a page about only eight. =) Thank you very much!
“Derived from the Latin root Clara, ECLARE expresses clarity and brightness, virtues highly held by Founder and Head Designer, Jessica Jung.”
Not trying to cause trouble, but I certainly read this as direct shots at either SMe, the other members, or both.
Maybe I’m just reading to much into it though.
if you need a place to crash in NYC, I have code access to a couple dozen studios. one of them has platinum hanging on the walls!!!!! word allready out in NYC from the streets to the towers, industry royalty coming to TOWN!!!
BRILLIANT MOVE SICA!!!! congratulations on making bold strong decision. any body who is anybody in Fashion will be impressed. here is some special Latin for you, maknae. you deserve it. ALLODIUM SUI JURIS SUMMUM JUS. Love You always, baby!!!!
This will be a good change in the name for her if she’s successful.
Her timeline is all messed up though, what she needs to do is do a kickstarter based off a few models. That will fund her transition and a few years of operating expenses while she finishes fashion school and lines up distribution.
I’m happy she’s moving ahead with her business. It sucks that it happened the way it did, but it may give her an extra space to focus on her fashion line and making it as successful as our Ice Princess can.
Rebranding your business only a couple months after starting it isn’t a brilliant business move
agreed….bad move in business.
Well, speculation is that she changed it because there is already a company that markets sunglasses in Japan called Blanc. Supposedly it’s not a trademark/copyright issue because she only plans on marketing in China and the US?
And then you also already have D’Blanc and MonBlanc sunglass brands.
So, you would think either one of two things:
1) They didn’t think the brand name out very well or
2) They wanted to get some “piggy back” sales by using a brand name people are already familiar with.
Hopefully Sica has hired some business/fashion people who know what the heck they are doing.
Well it’s not like she can’t come back to the music industry when she wants to. We see stories like these everywhere – people coming out of retirement/absence. From sports (such as Jordan or several wrestlers), history, entertainment (disbanded groups reuniting)… and so on and so forth.
Yes there will be complications, especially since it’s SM Ent we’re talking about. But her returning back to where she belongs (among the ranks of GG)? Not impossible.
Good Luck Ice princess SONE always love and support you
I hope you don’t leave the music industry altogether (wouldn’t blame you if you did). You still have Girls’ Generation’s most irreplaceable voice, it would be a shame to never hear it ever again (wipes a tear from the eye).
Best of luck on your new future!
Wish you all the best, Jessica!
We will support you in everything you do. Eventhough you’re not in the group anymore, in the heart of SONE you’re still our ” SNSD Ice Princess”
Hope your brand will become more successful in the future! Jessica fighting!
As expected by our Jessica, she seems to be moving on quickly. Now she can concentrate on one full-time job instead of juggling two.
Maybe, and don’t hit me now, leaving SNSD was the right move for her. Even though it should have been handled totally different.
