Girls’ Generation is appearing as a surprise guest on a new program called “Better Late Than Never” on NBC, a broadcasting station in the United States. “Better Late Than Never” is an American-produced version of cable channel tvN’s “Grandpas Over Flowers”. Filming is planned for this weekend at the SMTOWN COEX Artium in Samsung-dong, Seoul.
“Better Late Than Never” is a travel reality program that features once-famous American comedians and movie stars like Jeff Dye, Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw, and George Foreman. The show will contain various episodes in which they experience each region’s culture through travel.
In the past, Girls’ Generation has appeared as the first Korean singers ever on representative famous programs such as CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman” and ABC’s “LIVE! With Kelly”. In 2013, at the YouTube Music Awards in the US, they won the main award, “Music Video of the Year”, and in the American publication Time’s announcement of “2013 This Year’s Songs Top 10”, they were the only Asian singers chosen. There is expectation of high interest in their appearance in “Better Late Than Never” as they are well-known in the United States.

please please please let this be a wonderful opportunity for our girls to expand internationally, like for real. it’s quite incredible that they choose our ladies to guest appear instead of the other hot groups who seem to be making splashes all over Asia and having world tour internationally. something that Soshi haven’t done as of yet. frigging SM -_-! anyway, it just goes to show how relevant Soshi still are in the Hallyu Wave. so freaking proud. i hope everything goes well with everyone on set. i hope to see our ladies or the old guys upload pics of themselves with each other, like what happen back in 2012 when our ladies appear on Letterman and Kelly. memories yo, freaking memories! keeping my fingers cross and praying for the time to come for WORLD DOMINATION. hwaiting Soshi and Sones!

another thing…i’m glad Sones are still busting their butts to keep Soshi in the competition. if not they wouldn’t exist and getting this kind of exposure. so i’m happy that y’all and of course me still hanging on to these lovelies.
Is this a sign that SM is once again looking at Girls’ Generation take on the English Language market? I heard that GG are still signed to Interscope record and I feel like GG’s fanbase is shifting more international (beyond Asia) as they get older, so in my eyes I think it makes sense for them to actively go after that international market. It’s been 4 years since they released “The Boys” and A lot has changed in that time. Hopefully SM learnt from their previous debacle (The Boys) and now 4 years later I think the International market is much more susceptible to K-pop and GG in particular. It would be nice if they could find real success outside of Asia. I feel like if Girls’ Generation can’t be successful in the English language then no K-pop group ever will and I think K-pop is full of groups that should be able to find success outside of Asia (if they can sing in English), they just need a group like GG to break the door down… which I think they already have to some extent, now they just need to release the kinds of songs they have been releasing in Asia for years now and just sing then in English. Half their Japanese songs are in English so I don’t think it is that big of a stretch.
Or as us American SONEs call it, the “Exactly What We All Are Thinking” Show! Erm, that is if they mean to say better late than never that the girls got to be back on American TV. XD Please rest well so you don’t doze off during filming girls! And Seohyun, help Tiffany-unnie crack down on the other unnies so we can hear everyone speaking English~! Hwaiting!
