It's really sad to watch someone suffer, especially when it is obvious to you that they have worked very hard to get to where they are.
The PD stated that he had no connection to SNSD before he worked with them on KJE's Chocolate.
Although SNSD had come on the show once before, they were the center of attention then so I'm sure he didn't work with them as much this time.
HOWEVER, we could think of this as a special stage created for SNSD.
