Finally “Genie” and “Gee” will have their Chaku Uta® and ringback tones on sale. (Note: Chaku Uta® provides 30s Ringtones in Japan. Chaku Uta Full provides the full song. Ringback tones are the tones people hear when they call you.)
On Sunday August 1st, “Genie” and “Gee” will have Chaku Utas and Ringback tones on sale at Recochoku and other distribution sites all at once! (Note: Recochoku is a large Ringtone/Ringback Tone download site)

I think the download site is prepared to receive a lot of people downloading from their website and might lag! LOL!

People living outside Japan may wonder why Japanese people don't create ringtones from song files (like MP3)But ummm can't people just cut a song and make it their ringtone? >.>
and set them on their cellphones themselves.
It's because most cellphone models made in Japan don't allow users to do it.
Most models don't accept user-made sound files as ringtones and they only accept the ones downloaded from official ringtone sites.
It's quite inconvenient, but they are making cellphones in that way for the purpose of copyright protection and their *ringtone business*.
