5 years.... Its not really a long time... But following you girls, its obvious you have accomplished so much in these 5 years. From nobodies to becoming number 1, many sacrifices were needed. I always wonder are you all happy? Is this really what your heart wants deep down? But seeing your smiles. I think the answer is yes. As such, as long as the nine of you are happy, I am happy. I always lament that I was not there from the start. Can't blame me right? I had the perfect opportunity but I was oblivious. But its ok. Its been 2 years and about 7 months. Probably the darkest yet most lighted part of my life. Even now, though the days are dark, you girls are still my light. Precious people who I rely on on the rainy days that mask our tears. When the shadows cover our happiness. I turn to you. Thank you Girls Generation and happy birthday.You made a difference
They said that 5 years is just a short period of time, compared to many other artists that are in the music industry. But to 9 completely different girls who became soulmates for each other, it is these 5 years that helped skyrocket them into global stardom, etched in the history books of the music industry; is the name Girls' Generation. That very name that took the world by storm, fans from all different walks of life coming together under 1 family, Sones. This 5 years were not easy; the tons of sweat perspired; the amount of tears shed; the times they flashed their angelic smiles; the criticism that were made to bring them down, nevertheless only to make them stronger; and many other little stuff that made them who they are today. What can I say?Time really pass by very fast.It's already been 5 years you debuted,and 5 years of success.
I still remember watching your variety shows when I was still in primary school,and how I would laugh like a mad person.One of the reason why I started liking this group is because I really felt that your variety shows were very interesting and funny.
Of course,not forgetting your songs that I really enjoy listening to.It did take me quite some time to really appreciate korean songs at first,but I grew to love it after some time.
Another thing that amazes me is your teamwork.On and off cameras,you do seem to mantain a good relationship with each other.You can say that I'm bias,you can say that I'm ignorant,but I have to say that some things just cannot be acted out.
I'll start of with each member.
Taeyeon-Forever Sones' kid leader.Though you became mature and lost your baby fats in your cheeks,in my eyes,you still look like a little kid,in a good way. XD
Jessica-Though I never really liked you a lot until about 2010,I still admire you a lot.Underneath that cold mask of yours,you're actually quite a funny person.
Sunny-I have to admit,I didn't like your hairstyle ever since you cut your hair short.However,I still remember the cute actions you did in the past.Grow back your hair soon okay?
Tiffany-What should I say?I have already written what I wanted to say in your birthday letter.I'll just write a bit more than.Your personality is still what I admire most about you.I probably admire you the most on the group,not that I don't admire the rest,but I still admire you the most.You're beautiful inside,out,stay that way okay?
Hyoyeon-I can only say-Your dancing is marvelous!I just find it said that SM hardly gives you the chance to showcase your talent,that is,until dancing with the stars.Amazing,that's all I can say.
Yuri-OMG Yuri Unnie!You became my third all of a sudden this two months.I have no idea why though.I miss the times when you would do those dorky,funny dances.I hope to see you showcase those 'moves' again!
Sooyoung-You look amazing in Paparazzi.Honestly.One thing I love about you is your funny imitations of random things or people.You haven't been doing that since 2010?Maybe it's because you have to mantain the mature image.Either way,you're still the same Sooyoung I admire,and I'll accept you the way you are right now.
Last but not least,Seohyun-Soshi's innocent maknae.You changed a lot.I have to say.You became less innocent and more confident.Remember the times when you used to say how awkward you look when you wink?Look at you right now,you wink even more times than Taeyeon.It's a good thing,but I still prefer the innocent image you had in the past.

This will be the first time that I'm going to celebrate with my co-SONEs and our Soshi girls their Anniversary. I'm a new Sone here, I officially made myself a Sone last January 2012. I admit that I like another girl group (I'm from Philippines and maybe you know what girl group I'm talking about) and comparing them with SNSD. I'm really not fascinated with SNSD during their Genie, gee and Oh days but during their RDR days, their is this one specific person that caught my attention ~Yoona. I still didn't become a Sone, I just became a Sone when I started watching their variety shows, especially Hello Baby. I just love their bond ~Soshi Bond and I love how they didn't change for the past years. They gave me so much joy so this is the time that I'm going to THANK THEM for bringing my bad mood to good mood~ just hearing their voices or seeing their faces makes me feel happy!

But you just passed by to those criticism and continued to what goals you wanted to have and showed those people that those words that they left was just a word and will never come true. And it happened. They said that SNSD will never stay longer in the music industry, but look, where are SNSD now? They are about to celebrate their 5th ANNIVERSARY. I repeat 5th ANNIVERSARY. Now tell me, was this what your telling? That they will never be popular and won't stay long in the entertainment? SNSD gave all of their best just to proved that they will reach their dreams. SNSD teach us that friendship is one of the most important thing in this world. That you can't go on with your life by your own. And they show it to us. Through their unity, they achieved their dreams together.
All I can see is THANK YOU SO MUCH for being BORN. SNSD is the only group who influenced me to listen and love KPOP music. Sometimes my mom tells me, "how many times do you listen to those songs? You don't even understand it". I'll just reply, "Well, it's true that I don't understand but still through their voices and how they deliver each lines of the song, it helps me to understand and appreciate it though." I hope, well actually I want to see SNSD from 5 year to 50 years to 500 years Or more FOREVER! Our Girls' Generation known now as the Global Generation will always be in the heart of every Sones around the world. You already conquered Asia and now you are conquering the world.
