umm ya.. i thought it was maknae too but the interview didn't specify who said what so it's kinda confusing.
the newspaper reporter probably messed up and made a mistake by combining jessica and maknae's responses together.

sungmin was the one that voiced the commentaries on GGTS right?
he probably feels for the girls because he saw them from the very beginning.

i just wish that he voiced his thoughts little bit stronger and really stand up for the girls.
